It’s the return of our biggest foster event of the year — with a heroic new twist! Introducing the Everyday Heroes: PAWS Foster Challenge — a citywide call to action for animal lovers to help us place 150 pets into foster homes between Friday, June 20 and Sunday, July 20, so we can rescue 150 more!

With pets entering shelters at alarming rates and animals waiting longer than ever to find homes, our mission is urgent — and the moment to foster is now. Whether you’re a seasoned foster or just starting to consider it, this is the perfect time to become a lifesaving force for pets in need.

By opening your home, even for a short period time, you free up vital shelter space and help foster pets get one step closer to adoption. So many dogs, cats, kittens, and small animals are waiting to find comfort and care — and to them, you could be their foster superhero who saves the day!

From perks to pop-ups, here’s what’s happening during the challenge:

• – FOSTER RAFFLE: Foster a pet during the challenge and you’ll automatically be entered to win a Visa gift card and exclusive PAWS swag.
• – WE’RE POPPING UP ALL OVER PHILLY: All month long, you’ll find us at parks, local businesses, and street fairs spreading the word about fostering.
