Young Friends of PAWS is a community of passionate, like-minded individuals ages 21-40(ish) with a shared love of animals, a dedication to their well-being, and a commitment to supporting others socially and professionally.

Young Friends of PAWS is a division of PAWS. Together, we share the responsibility of working to make Philadelphia a no-kill city where every healthy and treatable pet is guaranteed a home.

Bark to School: Read to dogs

Join the Young Friends of PAWS at Walnut Garden (1708 Walnut St. Philadelphia, PA 19103) on Saturday, August 24 from 1–4 PM for Bark to School: Read to Dogs. Whether your child wants to practice reading aloud in a fun, judgment-free setting, or you’d like to bring your own pup for their very own story time, this is the perfect way to spend a summer afternoon.

What to expect:
– Kids reading aloud to dogs (including your own!)
– A relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere
– Raffles that benefit PAWS’ lifesaving mission

Bark to School: Photo Day

Say cheese, pups! Celebrate the back-to-school season with Bark to School: Photo Day at Salty Paws (1352 South Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19147) on Saturday, September 6 from 12–4 PM. Bring your dog for their very own school-themed portrait session – complete with adorable props and backdrops.

– Free for existing YFP members | $10 for new YFP members | $20 for non-members
– Professional school-themed pet portraits
– All proceeds help save Philadelphia’s homeless pets
