PAWS is thrilled to partner with PetSmart Charities and is the proud recipient of two PetSmart Charities grants:

– PetSmart Charities’ Accelerator grant to improve access to veterinary care in Philadelphia. PetSmart Charities has been a longtime supporter of our efforts, and this funding is enabling us to maximize capacity at our Grays Ferry clinic, so that more families can get the vet care their pets need to thrive at home and stay out of shelters.

– PetSmart Charities’ Adoption Prep Grant is enabling PAWS to expand its adoptions team in 2025, enhancing its matchmaking and lifesaving efforts. A new staff role coordinates intake, scheduling, and transport for cats to be adopted at PetSmart, while also overseeing the in-store volunteer team. The expanded team also has dedicated time for animal promotion and community outreach—two activities critical to maximizing adoptions.
