Foster Weekend

Clear the Shelters is here! PAWS is thrilled to partner once again with Hills Pet Nutrition, NBC10 Philadelphia, and Telemundo 62 for this nationwide lifesaving event.

This year, we are calling on both foster and adoptive families to help us save lives. When you take home a foster animal, you not only give a shelter pet the comfort of home but you also create space for us to continue our rescue work for the city’s most vulnerable cats and dogs!

To empty our Grays Ferry location, we are looking for foster parents to join us during the weekend of August 19 – 21 from 10 am – 4 pm daily. With shelters in Philly being full to the brim, there are so many benefits to moving shelter animals into loving foster home environments. They provide an opportunity to better know their personalities, provide the animal more one-on-one attention & care than we are able to provide at our busy shelter, and not only improves the animal’s quality of life, but also makes space for another animal in need to take their places.

To participate, please sign-up to foster a pet at phillypaws.org/foster ahead of time so that we can help you schedule an appointment to match you with your new foster pet and you can take them home during this weekend event. Email foster@phillypaws.org with any questions!
