Former stray Tintin now has a fabulous life with his adopter, Caroline.
“I adopted Tintin in September 2009, when he was about 9 months old and was called Gizmo at PAWS. From the moment I walked in, I had no choice but to adopt him.
He is one of the most unusual cats that I’ve ever met; he coos like a pigeon, perches on my shoulder like a parrot, and looks like a mouse when his pupils are dilated. He loves to play, but sometimes doesn’t know his own strength — he is bitey, tenacious, and drives the three other old cats in my house crazy by chasing them around our northern NJ house, but it’s just because he has so much youthful energy.
He loves nothing more than an old shoestring that he’s licked almost to disintegration, and when he’s tired out from a long day, he sleeps in my bed on the pillow above my head or at my hip. He is surrounded by people who love him: my boyfriend, who constantly refers to him as his “son,” my parents, who love to keep him company and play with him when I’m busy at work, and, of course, me. Tintin has adjusted to life outside of PAWS beautifully, and is a truly happy cat — I am so grateful to PAWS for bringing him into my life!”
