Once a mangey, unwanted pup, Rudy is now a pampered Rittenhouse Square socialite. She was surrendered by her owner to the city’s animal control shelter at 4 months old, hairless and covered in scabs due to severe mange. She spent a week at ACCT before she was pulled by PAWS, then spent several months in foster care where she grew into a healthy adolescent. She came back to our clinic’s kennels for the last leg of her mange treatment, and during her stay she excelled at obedience training and was a regular in our dog playgroups. It’s been a pleasure to watch her transform into a beautiful, well mannered young adult. Her big day came on Friday when she was adopted by her new best friend Dan. She’s going to have a great life!
