Philadelphia Flyers Help PAWS Save Lives

PAWS thanks the Philadelphia Flyers for their generous support of our lifesaving efforts! We have placed pets into loving adoptive homes with several players and are grateful for the support of the whole team!

Sean Couturier recently adopted Flower, a kitten rescued by PAWS after she was found as a stray.

Nick Grossmann and girlfriend Rita Madden opened their home to become PAWS foster parents! They most recently saved a life by fostering Annabelle, which opened up a space for us to rescue another dog in her place.

Braydon and Nadine Coburn are longtime PAWS supporters; in 2011, their generous donation kicked off the Paws & Claws Fund for Low-Income Pet Owners, which continues to serve Philadelphia’s neediest pets.

In March 2014, Flyers wives and girlfriends visited our adoption center to present a donation on behalf of Flyers Charities of more than $22,000.

This generous donation was raised at a home game with the support of Flyers fans who entered a 50/50 raffle. The Flyers also hosted our staff and volunteers at the game to raise funds and find homes for adoptable dogs.

The Flyers honored PAWS’ Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator, Allison Lamond, with her own jersey.

Rescued PAWS dog Kassey attended and met lots of fans. She met her new family at the game and is now living happily in the suburbs!
