Can you open your home for a few weeks to a dog who needs practice living outside the shelter? We have several dogs who have friendly temperaments and are on their way to being great pets, but need one-on-one training and attention to build their skills. We’re looking for big-hearted people who love dogs, have plenty of patience, and can give strong leadership. Experience with large dogs is helpful, and a willingness to receive training (if necessary) to address your dog’s particular needs is a must. In return, you’ll have the satisfaction of seeing your foster dog transform into a home-ready pet and transition into a happy life with their perfect family.
Felix – right – is just one of our dogs who needs someone right now: he’s sweet, loves to play, and just needs a little help building basic skills so he can walk well on a leash, meet people without jumping, and be the all-around polite guy he’s meant to be. He needs a home environment and someone to work with him in order to truly shine.
By taking in a foster dog for a short time, you’ll change the course of their life. You’ll also have fun in the process! To get started, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.phillypaws.org/foster.
