About the Clinic:

Located in a 6,200 square foot space in the Grays Ferry section of the city, PAWS’ Spay/Neuter and Wellness Clinic serves pet owners who have difficulty affording or do not have access to basic veterinary care and rescue organizations that need affordable services to carry out their lifesaving work. Thanks to the Paws & Claws Fund, the clinic also offers free services to low-income pet owners, enabling them to keep their pets as cherished family members.

In March 2011, the clinic celebrated its first anniversary. In its first year, the clinic served more than 9,200 pets and the people who love them, and performed over 5,000 spay/neuter surgeries.

By providing affordable, accessible veterinary care to the most vulnerable pets, the clinic is preventing the birth of unwanted litters, reducing the flow of animals into shelters, and bringing Philadelphia closer to becoming a no-kill city where every healthy and treatable pet is guaranteed a home.
